Draft Rules

Post  sweetsakass on Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:22 am

1. Time limit per choice is 1 minutes.
2. Salary Cap is $45 Million.
3. Owners, GM's, and AGM's all have 1 year contracts. You dont have to appoint one for them.
4. You have to have 2 Rw,Lw,C,G, and 4 D.= 12
5. If you go over the time limit in picking someone. We pick randomley for you.
6. You have to consider what everyone else in the GM, and AGM positions have to say about a certain player.
7. Give all players a fair chance.
8. The draft will be conducted of a FA name being called up in the chat and you can raise the bid 500k at a time.
9. Contract years are on the GM, AGM and Owner.. Max of 3 years, However after 1 year player contract goes up ( But only if you keep him for another year). It goes up 3 million per year.
10. The trade window is from the beg of the preseason till the end.
11. If you make a trade it has to be for the same position, as well a same amount of persons.

Re: Draft Rules

I have 2 questions about the contract system.

1.) After the draft bidding, does the player being drafted have the option of not accepting the contract and negotiating for more $$? I want to actually feel like I'm worth something, you know?

2.) Also, can there be player/team options so I or the team would have a choice of staying with the team? Ex.) Say I signed a 1 year contract with a player option for a second season, and I opted to leave the team after the season. Would this be possible?

Thank you.

But they don't have to trade you. I see, makes sense. Thank you.

I think we should just draft normally because the contracts would take more then a minute to get his contract and money set so you would have to have more time to talk to the GM and AGM about his contract. Other then the contract money the rules are really good and this league is very organized and we should have a good season

It is made this way to make sure the owners, gm,s and agm,s are doing there job and sticking to their responsibilities. When draft day comes, your club leaders should have a list of who they want backups, etc... As I mentioned earlier club leaders all have a one year contract.

Hey sweets
What if you have you guys all picked out and ready for the draft. Then lets say some team outbids you?? I just feel like this bidding stuff is going to be really complicated for gms and owners. I wanna make my own contract instead if getting bidded on. But is cool I can see where your coming from

the draft is set the bidding is great if someone out bids u then your outbid if this was real draft you would never get every player you want that's why you scout numerous players!!!! i am so sick of people asking to change the draft style here is how the draft is going to work the first round the order is one pick in the order posted!!! after that its a bidding war. I actually like this idea its competitive and it forces owners and gms to actually to their job. I know i am ready for the draft to happen along with everyone else. I know for sure that myself and my two gms have been doing scouting and currently we have a list of 24 people on our target!!! and im sure there will be more added by the time of the draft. For an owner or gm to think that they can say hey wanna play for my team and think they not going to get out bid at some point i find very funny!!!! GO BRUINS!!!!!
